From the Author As faculty in a large Family Medicine Residency in Seattle, we have worked to efficiently teach residents and fellows the core primary care procedures, based on the most recent evidence.  In this Atlas, we have taken these core procedures and outlined key steps to prevent error and aid in learning.  We have clear photos of the procedures with annotation where necessary.  One of the most useful aspects of this text is access to online video tutorials of all these procedures.  Video tutorials that are efficiently edited and aided by CG animations lead to rapid learning of difficult procedures with better recall than traditional text learning.  We have found that by using these tools, learners can be better prepared when first attempting to perform the procedure under supervision.  And practioners can refresh their skills in preparing to perform or teach these medical interventions.
