About the Author A Certified Kitchen and Bathroom Designer, Mary Jo Peterson specializes in universal design. A member of the National Kitchen & Bath AssociationÕs team of Practicing Professional Instructors, she travels the U.S. and Canada making presentations on accessible design issues to various segments of the building and design industry. She serves on numerous cross agency committees where she is involved in establishing guidelines that integrate universal design features into our homes as well as the products we put into them.
