His doctoral degree in speech language pathology is from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Dr. Hegde is a specialist in research methods, fluency disorders, language, and treatment procedures in communicative disorders. He has made many professional and scientific presentations to national and international audiences on a wide variety of topics in communicative disorders. He has published many research articles and serves on several national and international journal editorial boards. He has published over\u003cbr\u003e25 critically acclaimed books on a wide range of subjects in speech language pathology and has edited many books as well.
