It has the best balance of theory and empirical material of the health economics books available.""I am considering adopting this text for the fall semester. I think the ancillaries will be quite helpful to the students and add significantly to the presentation of the material in the classroom."
"I really liked Chapter 14 on the pharmaceutical industry! I think this is much better than the treatment in my current text (and I think other texts that I have seen). The Insights were all well chosen and really introduced students to some current issues in the topic."
"I am very happy with the writing style and level in this book. The text is thorough without being excessively wordy. The writing in this book is comparatively better than that in Phelps book, which at times is confusing, or Follands book, which is painfully boring and confusing."
