Previously, she was chair of the Department of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), director of the Emergency Nurse Practitioner Track, and an associate clinical professor at Drexel University. Clinically, she is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner and worked part-time as a nurse practitioner in southern New Jersey. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003eKeith A. Lafferty, MD, FAAEM, received his BA in biology cum laude from Holy Family University in 1989 and his MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1994. Following his residency in emergency medicine and a faculty fellowship in critical care, he spent ten years in full-time academia as a medical student director and a critical care director. Dr. Lafferty is the former co-director of emergency medicine at Gulf Coast Medical Center, director of fire-based EMS in Fort Myers, Florida, adjunct assistant professor of emergency medicine at Temple University, board member of the Holy Family University Pre-Medical Committee, board member of the Holy Family University President’s Advisory Committee and Board of Trustees member elect. As a physician, Dr. Lafferty specializes in emergency medicine and practices in both Philadelphia and Fort Myers, Florida. As an author, he has written numerous chapters and manuscripts, mostly having to do with critical care, emergency medicine and procedures dealing with both specialties. He has presented many of his research papers at the local and national levels.
