Tin-tai Chow received his Bachelor and Master degrees in mechanical engineering from The University of Hong Kong, his MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and his PhD in air-conditioning simulation from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. He gained 2 years of manufacturing experience from the Sonca Industries Ltd., and 9 years of project experience in building services, thermal power and environmental engineering from the Hong Kong Electric Group before starting his academic career at the City University of Hong Kong.
He currently leads the Building Energy and Environmental Technology Research Unit of the Division of Building Science and Technology at the University. He is also the Fellow members of the American Society of Heating, Ventilating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE). He is the Past President of the ASHRAE Hong Kong Chapter.
